Latte Vino

 Latte Vino® is our original all natural wine syrup. The inspiration for Latte Vino came from trying to create espresso drinks with wine.  Of course wine in the “raw” in espresso did not work, so a wine syrup came to mind and Latte Vino was the result. This unique syrup does not cover up the flavor of fine coffees but enhances it.  The “Latte Vino” latte has become the best seller at Prickly Pears.  It also makes an exceptional Chai Latte.  We call it our “Chai Vino.” At Prickly Pears we brew organic Chai in the espresso machine one drink at a time just like we do our espresso.  We then sweeten the Chai with Latte Vino and add steamed milk.  It is the best Chai you will ever find and it’s all natural.    It’s also great on desserts.  Try it on cheesecake, ice cream, bread pudding or add 1 part Latte Vino to 3 parts maple syrup for the best pancakes or crepes you’ve ever eaten.

Tasting Notes: Latte Vino is a dark amber syrup with a pleasing wine nose. The flavor is fruit forward: bright currant and fig preserves melt into molasses and caramel with hints of honey and a long maple finish.

All of the alcohol is cooked out so there are no restrictions on serving.

Latte: Add 1/2 to 3/4 oz. Latte Vino to 16 oz. Latte
Tea: Use as a sweetener for hot and iced tea
  • Pour over Goat Cheese for a magnificent appetizer

  • Pour over Ice Cream and top with toasted pecans or walnuts

  • Top a baked sweet potato with Latte Vino - you don't even need butter!

  • Sautee peeled and sliced Granny Smith Apples with Latte Vino while warm, pour over brie, top with toasted pecans and serve

  • Mix 1/3 cup Latte Vino with 2/3 cup natural maple syrup and serve with pancakes or waffles.
